North Horizon Heli Adventures Booking Terms and Conditions:

Each passenger travelling with North Horizon Heli Adventures is required to read and accept the terms and conditions of travel. By booking with North Horizon Heli Adventures you are accepting the below terms and conditions.

Bookings

a. Reservations are confirmed when all passenger weights and full payment are received.

b. Payments made via credit card will incur a surcharge set by the corresponding financial institution at the time of booking – current 1.9% for Visa and MasterCard (In person) or 2.2% surcharge (Online).

c. Minimum of 2 passengers for tours and packages, unless charter/hire of helicopter has been arranged. Some tours may have a minimum of 3 passengers.

d. All tours are subject to availability and weather on the day of travel.

e. All tour durations advertised are indication only. Actual tour times may vary depending on factors such as weather conditions and aircraft type.

Weight Policy

a. To create a safe flying experience, each flight has set a payload that cannot be exceeded.

b. Individual passenger weights and accompanying carry-on MUST be accurately advised upon booking.

c. Weight variances greater than 10% may incur an additional fee or booking cancellation.

d. Maximum single seat payload of 136kg – Contact bookings team for further details.

e. Maximum total combined passenger weight limits for tours apply - Contact bookings team for further details.

Child & Special Assistance Policy

a. All bookings MUST advise if travelling with infants or passengers requiring special assistance.

b. One (1) additional child/infant is permitted to travel on the flight, pending the below conditions.

c. 0 – 2yrs (inclusive) are permitted to travel FOC on flights if nursed on a lap - approval is granted at pilot's discretion.

d. Children between the ages of 3 – 11 (inclusive) who have a total combined weight of less than 77kg may be able to share a seat, provided they fit seated side-by-side – approval is granted at pilot's discretion.

e. Subject to conditions and proof of age (birth certificate or passport).

f. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult (unless otherwise approved at the discretion of the pilot in command).

Pregnant Passengers

Pregnant passengers are more than welcome to fly with us at their own discretion, passengers who have any concerns are best to consult their doctor prior to making a reservation. Please note that all passengers are required to wear a seatbelt during flight regardless of their medical condition.

Damage to Property

North Horizon Heli Adventures reserves the right to charge any passenger(s) and/or any other person(s) who have caused any damage to North Horizon Heli Adventures’s property, or the property of any other tenant, landowner, or other entity, for the repair or replacement of the aforementioned property. This extends to any passenger(s) or person(s) who damage property in a malicious nature, or by the failure to follow directions given by the pilot in command or any ground crew or instructional information provided.

Personal Injury and Participant Obligations

We will not be liable for any personal injury or loss where negligence cannot be attributed to us. By your participation you accept the inherent risks of possible injury or harm associated with the flight and the inherent risks associated with any activity in or near water. You should consider this participation in a responsible manner and with good judgment, particularly if you have a health or medical condition, are pregnant or have other physical limitations. Patrons with medical conditions are responsible for assessing whether they can participate. You must seek medical advice if uncertain. Photographs or videos taken by you must be for your own personal use and enjoyment and not for any commercial purpose. No flash photography is allowed in the aircraft. We may use any photographs or video that we take of you for our commercial purposes without payment to you. You may be refused entry or evicted if we reasonably believe that you are adversely affected by drugs or alcohol or behave inappropriately or breach any of these Terms & Conditions.

You must:

Act with consideration for both yourself and others and refrain from behaviour which could affect your safety or the safety of others.

Obey all reasonable written and verbal instructions and warnings given by our staff.

Use safety equipment where directed.

Only smoke in designated smoking areas.

Let us inspect any bags or other goods in your possession immediately upon request.

Be responsible for your own personal property as we will not be responsible for any loss.

Be aware that adults and carers are responsible for persons under their supervision.

Booking Cancellations

a. Cancellation notice of 48 hours is required for a full refund claim.

b. No refund applies if booking is cancelled inside 48 hours and if passenger is a ‘no-show’.

c. Cancellations must be confirmed in writing via email to office@northhorizonheliadventures.com.au.

d. If a flight is cancelled due to weather, maintenance or other, passengers will be offered the options to reschedule, proceed with an alternate tour for the same value or, if applicable, a full or partial refund depending on the percentage of the tour already completed and that approved by the third party Operators/Agents.

Privacy & Confidential Information

a. Personal details are legally required in order to complete bookings for flight manifests.

b. All information provided to North Horizon Heli Adventures will remain private & confidential and shall not be disclosed to any third parties without prior consent.

c. North Horizon Heli Adventures follows the Privacy Act information as outlined by the Australia Government at www.privacy.gov.au.

Operations / Conditions of Carriage

a. A ticket issued by North Horizon Heli Adventures and accepted by the passenger is done so in accordance with the company’s booking policies and is subject to the terms and conditions outlined hereinafter.

b. North Horizon Heli Adventures requires the tour ticket to be presented or proof of purchase to enable the passenger to travel on the tour. The ticket is not transferrable.

c. North Horizon Heli Adventures reserves the right to cancel or vary the service in any way whatsoever without any liability to the passenger.

d. North Horizon Heli Adventures reserves the right at its own discretion to refuse to carry any passenger or goods without assigning any reason.

e. North Horizon Heli Adventures will not be liable for any loss, damage, additional expenses or inconvenience arising from, or incidental to, any delay in service – including those caused by external companies, partners, aircraft maintenance, weather and events beyond our control.

f. North Horizon Heli Adventures works in conjunction with other tour operators and is not liable for their acts or omissions, whether negligent or otherwise. Travel and admissions will be subject to the conditions imposed by the operators, which may limit or exclude liability for personal injury or property damage.

g. All passengers shall not take onto the aircraft or include in his/her luggage any explosives, volatile spirits, corrosives, any easily ignitable article or offensive thing likely to cause inconvenience to other passengers or to endanger the aircraft, other passengers or goods. The passenger indemnifies the company for any loss and damage caused by or arising from the carriage of the passenger's goods including and not limited to prohibited substances.

h. All passengers shall comply with the instructions of North Horizon Heli Adventures ground staff and pilots concerning all matters connected with the tour and shall comply with any notice displayed at tour departure points and within the aircraft.

i. For the duration of the flight, all passengers must remain seated with their seatbelt securely fastened and if flying over water, must wear a life jacket for the entire flight.

j. North Horizon Heli Adventures and Federal regulations enforce a non-smoking policy in and around all helicopters at any time.

k. In the event of a cancellation by the passenger, North Horizon Heli Adventures reserves the right to charge cancellation fees in accordance with the company’s current scale of refunds.

l. It is recommended all passengers take out travel insurance for unforeseen circumstances.

m. The conditions of carriage outlined shall be read and interpreted subject to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Commonwealth) and any amending legislation.

n. No condition of carriage other than those outlined will be recognised. These conditions may only be varied by agreement in writing between North Horizon Heli Adventures and the passenger. Please note, verbal promises by booking agents or clerks are not binding on North Horizon Heli Adventures and will not be recognised by North Horizon Heli Adventures.
