Wave Lagoon
Darwin’s Wave Lagoon is open daily between 10am - 6pm. The Wave Lagoon rolls out 10 different wave patterns, from gentle swells to waves up to 1.2 metres high, perfect for boogie boarders. Boogie boards and water tubes available for use. The toddlers can enjoy a shallow zone across from the main Lagoon.

Museum and Art Gallery of the NT
There’s something for you and the kids to enjoy at the Museum and Art Gallery. Get the kids involved at the Discovery Centre with interactive displays built specifically for them.

Territory Wildlife Park
Any child is easily satisfied at the Territory Wildlife Park, just a short 45-minute drive from Darwin’s CBD. Gets up-close and personal with local animals that call the Territory home. Make sure you keep an eye out on their social media channels as they run school holiday programs during the school year.

Water Parks
Leanyer and Palmerston water and skate parks are a kids' delight. They offer water-based fun from waterslides to paddle pools for kids in Darwin and Palmerston. There are BBQs and picnic tables available, basketball courts and plenty of skateboarding space.

See Crocodiles
Get up close with the Territory’s own Saltwater Crocodiles in a safe environment. Crocosaurus Cove and Crocodylus Park are home to some of the largest Crocodiles in captivity on display. They both offer plenty of interactive experiences from croc feeding to animal holding.

Go Kart Racing
Why not take the kids kart racing and experience the thrill at Darwin's premier karting facility? Complete with an outside circuit with 1035 meters of track, their karts are the closest thing you’ll get to a full-racing kart, giving you the true experience of racing up to 80kms at 30mms off the tarmac.

Ice Skating
The Darwin Ice Skating Centre provides social ice-skating sessions, learn-to-skate program, coaching, ice hockey and figure skating. A great day out for all the family.

Fish Feeding
Take the kids to feed the fish at Aquascene located in Darwin City. As high tide comes so do hundreds of fish, from Milkfish, Mullet, Catfish, Bream and Barramundi looking for something to eat. If you're lucky you might have the chance to spot Rays, Cod, Mangrove Jack and Diamond Fish in the shallows if you watch carefully.
