Larrakia Lino Printing Workshop for Young People with Danella Lee

Learn how to lino print on calico bags and clothing. Taught by Larrakia artist Danella Lee. Learn about First Nations culture from a local. Hands on workshop and participants get to take their items home. Minimum age is 8.

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about First Nations culture in Darwin from a local person and try your hand at a new skill at the same time.

DETAILS

• The participants will be printing on a tote bag that they will keep. They will be using lino tiles provided by Danella featuring Larrakia imagery and totems. 
• Minimum age is 8 years old.
• The workshop will be 75 minutes long.

WHATS PROVIDED

• Tote bags, ink, lino blocks
• Plus - you can bring an item of your own clothing if you'd like to print on it.

NB: We are using water soluble non-toxic permanent inks. Please be aware that clothing may be accidentally marked with paint. If not heat set is should be able to be removed but it cannot be guaranteed.
